Art as a political statement doesn’t always go over well with some. Recently, we ventured to the capitol, making our (temporary) mark. I was, at first, hesitant to make such a move, but I am extremely glad that I did. The work that we put into the stencil payed off, brought forth an important message, and was something that I was very proud of. Even though it was only there for a brief moment in time, I believe it did make some sort of impact.
As far as the Michigan Promise goes, I hope that someday it will be understood that to have a thriving state it takes a good upbringing. Education is not something that should ever be taken for granted- students are the future.
